Driving Directions

Self-drive is the most popular way of getting to Manyoni Game Reserve - just 300kms north of Durban's King Shaka International Airport. For international guests, car hire is available at the airport and a 4x4 is not necessary for accessing the reserve.

Manyoni North Gate

From Durban: +-300km from King Shaka International Airport

Travel north on the N2 from Durban, at the Mkuze town turn off take a left onto the P234 Bangonomo road, take this dirt road for 1.1km, take your first left onto the D240, follow road until you arrive at the Manyoni Private Game Reserve gate, when you arrive at the gate, guards will sign you in and there will be a sign board with directions to lodges within the reserve.

From Johannesburg: +- 480km from O.R. Tambo International Airport

Travel South on the N2 from Pongola / Johannesburg, at the Mkuze town turn off take a right onto the P234 Bangonomo road, take this dirt road for 1.1km, take your first left onto the D240, follow road until you arrive at the Manyoni Private Game Reserve gate, when you arrive at the gate, guards will sign you in and there will be a sign board with directions to lodges within the reserve.

Manyoni East Gate

Northbound

When Northbound on the N2 highway, take the D464 District Road turnoff to your left, signposted East Gate, 32kms after Hluhluwe town. Proceed to the Main Gate of the Reserve, where you will be asked to sign in, a sign board will display the lodge names and distances.

Southbound

When Southbound on the N2 highway, take the D464 District Road turnoff to your right, signposted East Gate, 19kms after Mkuze town. Proceed to the Main Gate of the Reserve, where you will be asked to sign in, a sign board will display the lodge names and distances.

Manyoni South Gate

Northbound

When Northbound on the N2 highway, take the P450 District Road turnoff (opposite the Baobab Inn) to your left 32kms after Hluhluwe town. Proceed to the Main Gate of the Reserve, signposted South Gate, which will be on the right after 4.5kms, where you will be asked to sign in, a sign board will display the lodge names and distances.

Southbound

When Southbound on the N2 highway, take the P450 District Road turnoff (opposite the Baobab Inn) to your right 19kms after Mkuze town. Proceed to the Main Gate of the Reserve, signposted South Gate which will be on the right after 4.5kms, where you will be asked to sign in, a sign board will display the lodge names and distances.
